Wrapping up the instrumental portion was the extraordinary violinist/composer/teacher Edward W. Hardy. He began with his own composition, Evolution, which required employing a variety of styles in a single song... After a smooth re-arrangement of Chopin and a swirling Tennessee Whiskey dedicated to his “Colorado Family” at the University of Northern Colorado, Hardy switched gears. As a child, his mother had encouraged him to play his violin in the subway as a way to build confidence in front of a crowd. So he reached back to his hits previously heard in the 103rd street station. Shouts of “OK!” and grass-muted toe-taps accompanied his rendition of If I Ain’t Got You by Alicia Keys. He ultimately brought the crowd to its feet with his mind-blowing twist on Freddie Mercury’s Bohemian Rhapsody.

On Sunday, July 23, Edward W. Hardy, Marsha Thompson, Phillip Bullock, Sasha Ono, and Kyle P. Walker gave a spectacular concert at the fourteenth annual Pocono Mountains Music Festival (PMMF) at the Skytop Lodge's Evergreen Ballroom. The engaging 80-minute program, curated by Janinah Burnett, included numerous works that ranged from Vivaldi's Summer Violin Concerto and Puccini's Quando me'n vo (La Boheme) to Margaret Bonds' Troubled Water and Gershwin's "You Is My Woman Now" (Porgy and Bess), ending with Hardy's breathtaking piano trio arrangement of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "All I Ask Of You" (The Phantom Of The Opera). On Wednesday, July 12, legendary artist DJ D-Nice gave a special presentation of Club Quarantine Live in Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/ Perelman Stage with guest artists 702, Baby Cham, Salt-N-Pepa, Bun B, Israel Houghton, Kathy Sledge, Kenny Burns, Lloyd, Mike Phillips, Scarface, and Chris Spencer. This all-white attire concert, anchored by the Igmar Thomas' Revive Big Band and Rootstock Republic, including violinists Juliette M. Jones, Monique Brooks Roberts, and Edward W.
